WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words that highlights three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you'll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

My first completed book of November was Horrid by Katrina Leno which I read for the 1000 Doors Readathon as my first prompt was 5 so I decided to go with a five star prediction. Unfortunately it wasn't quite a five star read more like a 4.5 or maybe a 4, I still haven't managed to completely make up my mind. This was a super quick read, I read it in just over a day and I was really enjoying it up until the ending. The ending wasn't horrendous, I even liked it, but I just felt like things took a weird turn and I felt a bit dissatisfied with it. It was creepy but I just wanted something more from it that I can't quite put my finger on.

What are you currently reading?

I was supposed to read Bird Box by Josh Malerman in October for a readathon but ran out of time but I was intrigued enough to keep reading it for this month. I didn't know too much about this going in other then what I'd seen people say of the film adaptation but I think it's definitely better this way. I'm just under halfway in and man, this book is giving me major anxiety. Each chapter I'm on tenterhooks because I have no idea what's going to happen. I don't want to spoil anything but the events in this book are so horrible to imagine and I think that's why I keep having to put it down after a few chapters and breathe!

My next prompt for the 1000 Doors Readathon was a meme so it's difficult to describe! Basically, it's surrounds the phrase "I'm back" so I'm reading a sequel. Linger by Maggie Stiefvater is the next book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series and I read the first book in October. I'm about 120 pages in and I only read for just over an hour so I'm speeding through it but like the first book, I'm just not hooked on the story or the characters. We do have two new POV's so I may change my mind the more I read.

What do you think you'll read next?

Due to the fact that the readathon is subjective and you won't know your next prompt until you complete your current read, I'm in the dark about what I'll be picking up next. I'd like to get to Shadowsea by Peter Bunzl after I finish Bird Box though as I was supposed to read it in October. I'm really excited to read this but it's bittersweet as it's the last book in the Cogheart series.

Swept into the bright hustle and bustle of New York, Lily, Robert and Malkin discover shadowy secrets lie beneath its surface. For there are chilling goings-on in their hotel…

A strange boy held captive, haunted by an undersea mystery; and a revengeful villain with a treacherous plan. Searching for clues, Robert and Lily are plunged into deep water… But can they reveal the deadly truth before the secrets submerge them?

Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts? What are you currently reading and hoping to pick up next? Leave a comment or link your own WWW Wednesdays below for me to check out!
