Down The TBR Hole #9

Current TBR shelf: 3959

Last week's TBR shelf: 3963

The rules

  1. Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  2. Order on ascending date added.
  3. Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  4. Read the synopses of the books
  5. Decide: keep it or should it go?

Trapped by Michael Northrop

I remember being really interested in this book back when I first added it but a quick glance at the reviews and it doesn't sound like a great book so it's one I can probably skip.

Verdict: Remove

I think I own this book, I think it's in another edition though so the above cover kinda threw me off. It's paranormal romance but if I own it I may as well give it a shot!

Verdict: Keep

Starstruck by Cyn Balog

The synopsis sounds boring and a little weird, not a book I'd ever think to pick up unprompted.

Verdict: Remove

Entangled by Cat Clarke

This definitely sounds intriguing but I own another of Cat Clarke's books so I'll give that a read first before I pick this up.

Verdict: Remove

Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma

People have shelved this as paranormal but from the synopsis what exactly about it that is paranormal isn't clear and I think this could have potential.

Verdict: Keep

Lost Voices by Sarah Porter

At first glance I assumed I'd be removing this but after reading the synopsis it sounds interesting with some pretty dark themes.

Verdict: Keep

Awaken by Katie Kavcinsky

I don't read dystopia too often but I like the sound of a romance emerging in a world where everything is done via technology.

Verdict: Keep

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Controversial but even though this is a popular YA series, vampire romances just aren't for me and I have no intention of picking this up unless forced.

Verdict: Remove

Hollowland by Amanda Hocking

Zombies are an acquired taste for me and this doesn't sound like it does anything new with the sub-genre.

Verdict: Remove

Boy Toy by Barry Lyga

I remember really wanting to read this years ago but looking at it now, I have no interest anymore so I think I can safely remove this.

Verdict: Remove

This Week:

Kept: 4
Removed: 6

Overall:

Kept: 39
Removed: 51
