Down The TBR Hole #10

Current TBR shelf: 3953

Last week's TBR shelf: 3959

The rules

  1. Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  2. Order on ascending date added.
  3. Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  4. Read the synopses of the books
  5. Decide: keep it or should it go?

Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris

This sounds like a teen zombie high school drama type book which I probably would've enjoyed when I was in my teens but yeah, doesn't sound like my thing now.

Verdict: Remove

Freefall by Mindi Scott

This is definitely a book I would've picked up when I was sixteen but I've become a lot more picky with my contemporaries and this just sounds like a lot of other books.

Verdict: Remove

Shadow by Jenny Moss

I love fairytale-esque fantasy, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, and this does sound interesting although it is one that was definitely not on my radar.

Verdict: Keep

Graveminder by Melissa Marr

I've said before that I have to be really intrigued to read something about zombies/vampires/werewolves and the like and so I'm a bit unsure about this one. The premise does sound interesting but I do own the first book in Marr's Wicked Lovely series so maybe I should give that a go first. It's also worrying that this is apprently the first in a series but considering it was published in 2011 and there hasn't been anymore books since, I hope it didn't end on a cliffhanger.

Verdict: Remove

Token of Darkness by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

This is the sixth in a series (although the books sound like they may not follow on from each other) so I'm not really sure why I added it plus the summary doesn't interest me at all. Easy remove.

Verdict: Remove

All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab

Rich kids involved in murder is one of my favourite tropes so i'm definitely intrigued here!

Verdict: Keep

Bad Apple by Laura Ruby

This book is described as having a weird sense of humour so I can see it being a book I like. Plus, I like the idea of fairy tales being involved but not in a retelling sort of way.

Verdict: Keep

Peeled by Joan Bauer

This is already the second Joan Bauer book that has appeared on Down The TBR Hole so something about her books must be drawing me in. This book sounds interesting as well, I like the idea of a budding journalist and a town with secrets.

Verdict: Keep

Lipstick Apology by Jennifer Jabaley

I remember really loving this cover and title when I first added it! Now, unfortunately I'm not really interested anymore which kinda makes me sad because I was really excited back in 2010.

Verdict: Remove

Things Hoped For by Andrew Clements

I'm sorry but I hate that cover so much! The synopsis doesn't interest me either so I think I'll be letting this one go!

Verdict: Remove

This Week:

Kept: 4
Removed: 6
