April 2019 Reading Wrap Up

I managed to pull myself out of a massive reading slump in April so i'm quite happy that I managed to read 7 books in total. It's been a decent reading month but I have a feeling this month is going to be even better, a lot of it being down to the fact that I got approved for some amazing books on Netgalley which i'm really excited to get stuck into. My first Mother's Day without my mum

As I'm writing this, it's currently Mothering Sunday in the UK. It's also my first Mother's Day without my mum. 7 weeks ago my mum passed away in hospital after a long illness and to be honest it still doesn't feel real. She was in hospital for long stretches over the past two years and so most of the time it just feels like she's still there and I'll be visiting her in a few days. Then something will happen such as seeing a movie trailer that I think she'd like or our favourite football team winning a match and then realising that I won't be able to talk to her about it and then reality just comes flooding back.

So, I'm Not The Best At Blogging

I’ve had this blog for a year and yet I’ve only posted a handful of times. It started off great, I was posting semi-regularly between September and December but when the new year hit my blogging motivation seemed to cease to exist. I just couldn’t get myself to open word or pick up my camera, I had zero inspiration to write or take pictures and therefore I simply put it all to the back of my mind.

June 2018 Book Haul

  

I appear to have acquired quite a few books during the month of June which will be added to my never ending TBR list and whilst I'm super excited to finally own some of these books who knows when I'll even get round to reading them. I definately need to start prioritising my reading choices but then I feel so guilty thinking about all those books I've owned for years and still haven't read. Don't worry, I will get to them eventually, it just might take a few years!
