I finished Saoirse by Charleen Hurtubise on Monday and I absolutely flew through this. It wasn't super long, around 250 pages, but I was completely sucked into this story of an American woman fleeing to Ireland to escape her tragic past and how it all unfolded. I feel like at this point I can't go wrong with Irish fiction because I've pretty much loved everything I've read that has come out of that country! 

What are you currently reading?

I have been putting off picking up The Maid by Nita Prose over the last few days. I've only read the first two chapters and I expected to love it but I'm not sure about it yet. I need to pick it up to try and get another feel for it. I was in the mood for a cozy mystery and I know this is a pretty popular choice.

 

I DNF'd Midnight on the Celestial after 10 pages and I wanted to pick something else up straight away so I read the first chapter of The Women by Kristin Hannah. I haven't read war fiction in a while and it's my fave sub-genre plus this has been sitting in my kindle library for a while. I like the direction it's going although for some reason I expected it to be more literary than I feel it is for some reason.

What do you think you'll read next?

I need to get a move on with my library holds and I've never read a Freida McFadden before so The Coworker sounded perfect! Everyone says she's a great author to get you out of a reading slump and I've definitely been feeling slumpy lately!
