WWW Wednesday | 06/01/2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words that highlights three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you'll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

I just adored The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, not only is it my first read of 2021, it's also my first five stars of the year which is an amazing start. The writing is what truly makes this book so wonderful because just every passage brought out so many emotions and thoughts, I must have bookmarked about 30 quotes in one sitting. I'm not gonna gush too much because I'll be doing a full review but yeah, amazing book.

What are you currently reading?

Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater is the companion novel to the Wolved of Mercy Falls series which I read the whole of last year (it feels weird referring to 2020 as last year!) and has some mixed feelings about. I owned this book as well so I just decided to get it over with and finish the series properly. I'm less then a 100 pages in and already I'm not sure if I'm enjoying Cole's and Isabelle's POV's when they're not mixed in with Grace and Sam's but I'm still going to push through.

I started listening to Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie on audio a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it. I've seen the film so I know all the plot twists but Kenneth Branagh is a terrific narrator and is really making the story come alive.

All I Want For Christmas by Wendy Loggia is a library ebook that I started late December but just haven't managed to finish yet and because it's a library book I don't want to just return it because I am enjoying it. This has been really cute so far and i'm loving the romance that starting to happen so whilst it's a bit strange to be reading a festive book in January I'm going to try and finish this today or tomorrow.

What do you think you'll read next?

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is a book that I've wanted to pick up for a while. I wanted to buy a physical copy but my local bookshop was sold out so I'm making do with library ebook instead. I've heard nothing but amazing things about this novel and just the sound of a magical library where you can see your infinite lives sounds incredible.

Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts? What are you currently reading and hoping to pick up next? Leave a comment or link your own WWW Wednesdays below for me to check out!
