Trigger warnings: death, blood, violence, murder, attempted murder, abuse, pregnancy complications, death of a loved one, injury, grief

Synopsis

Angrboda's story begins where most witches' tales end: with a burning. A punishment from Odin for refusing to provide him with knowledge of the future, the fire leaves Angrboda injured and powerless, and she flees into the farthest reaches of a remote forest. There she is found by a man who reveals himself to be Loki, and her initial distrust of him transforms into a deep and abiding love.

Their union produces three unusual children, each with a secret destiny, who Angrboda is keen to raise at the edge of the world, safely hidden from Odin's all-seeing eye. But as Angrboda slowly recovers her prophetic powers, she learns that her blissful life—and possibly all of existence—is in danger.

With help from the fierce huntress Skadi, with whom she shares a growing bond, Angrboda must choose whether she’ll accept the fate that she's foreseen for her beloved family…or rise to remake their future.

Top Ten Tuesday | My Favourite Colourful Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature that highlights ten books that all relate to a certain topic and is  hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Weeks Topic Is...

Colourful Book Covers. I'm here for any topic that allows me to highlight beautiful covers and as you can see, I'm definitely drawn towards books with blue, purple and pink shades. Something about these combinations really capture my eye and I find myself more inclined to pick it up!

#5OnMyTBR | Love Triangles

This meme was created by E. @ Local Bee Hunter's Nook and you can find the announcement post here. Also, side note, these aren't necessarily books that I own physically but they're all on my Goodreads TBR and they'll mostly be the five most recently added.

This Week's Prompt is...

Love Triangles. I'm someone who doesn't actually mind a love triangle AS LONG as it's done well and the two love interests aren't copy and paste versions of each other but with different hair colours. They need to be distinct and actually have chemistry with the MC for it to work. It's also nice to keep the reader guessing, you don't want there to be a clear winner too early in the book! Here's a few books with love triangles that I do want to check out...

Fairyloot March 2021 Unboxing | Frozen Fables ❄

My first ever Fairyloot box arrived a couple of days ago and I'm so happy I managed to get my hands on one. This might be a one off for now because I loved March's theme but the next couple of months are books that I'm not overly bothered about.

Spring may be here but this box had all of the wintery vibes going on and I love it! This months theme was Frozen Fables and everything in here was perfect. Let's get into it...
