Take Me There by Carolee Dean

I don't feel an interest in the whole 'bad boy and good girl' doomed romance thing anymore.

I feel like a parrot but yeah, YA contemporary romance is definitely a genre I've fallen out of love with.

Breathe (Sea Breeze #1) by Abbi Glines
Sadie White's summer job isn't going to be on the beach life-guarding or working at rental booths like most kids her age. With her single mother's increasing pregnancy and refusal to work, Sadie has to take over her mother's job as a domestic servant for one of the wealthy summer families on a nearby island.
When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. If Sadie hadn't spent her life raising her mother and taking care of the house she might have been normal enough to be excited about working for a rock star.
Even though Sadie isn't impressed by Jax's fame, he is drawn to her. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax but he fights his attraction. Relationships never work in his world and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. By the end of the summer, Jax discovers he can't breathe without Sadie.
I'm like 85% sure I own(ed) this book but it's on my dad's old kindle account that I can't access anymore. Probably a good thing because this sounds awful 😂 I just really hate normal girl x rock star romances.

I've already decided I'm not reading the first book so...

The Siren by Kiera Cass

The same speech has been given hundreds of times to hundreds of beautiful girls who enter the sisterhood of sirens. Kahlen has lived by these rules for years now, patiently waiting for the life she can call her own. But when Akinli, a human, enters her world, she can't bring herself to live by the rules anymore. Suddenly the life she's been waiting for doesn't seem nearly as important as the one she's living now.
I've not overly fussed on mermaids in fantasy plus I've already decided that I want to tackle at least the first book in The Selection series by this author.

When Irish Guys Are Smiling by Suzanne Supplee
For seventeen-year-old Delk Sinclair, studying abroad in Ireland means one thing: escape. Delk is tired of hearing about her friends' debutante parties, watching her pregnant stepmother redecorate her mother's house, and having to smile sweetly even though she doesn't think she'll ever get over losing her mother. With the stunning green landscape as backdrop, Delk revels in all things Irish, from living in a real Irish castle, to celebrating St. Paddy's Day in Galway, to enjoying Irish music and dance, to studying Yeats and shearing a sheep! So when Delk begins to fall for a very handsome Irishman, she wonders if there's more to the Emerald Isle than it first seemed. It is fun, to be sure, but will those smiling Irish eyes really be able to heal her broken heart?
This sounds pretty cheesy. The series as a whole sounds interesting (each book follows a girl on exchange in a different country) but I can't see myself picking them up.

The premise sounds really interesting (for some reason plane crashes in media always hook me) but I feel like the romance will overshadow the sci-fi if reviews are anything to go by.

With an alliance in place, there will be no more “I wish I’d said…” or “If I could go back and do things differently...” These girls will show Jar Island that revenge is a dish best enjoyed together.
I was a huge Jenny Han fan as a teen so I'd be up for reading this collab.

She also comes to realize that beneath the island’s flawless exterior, there is an undercurrent of discontent among Demesne’s worker clones. The reviews are very underwhelming, it's also just very early 2010's.

The cover is super pretty but not a book for me. It's amazing how much my reading tastes have changed over the last ten years!
