Another hot week and the last week for some of our preschoolers heading off to primary school. One of my absolute favourite kids also had their last day on Thursday and that was very bittersweet too. We've now got the summer holidays and the nursery graduation to look forward to, and we'll be a lot quieter now as well which is a relief.
I had Friday off work to attend my sister's university graduation in Leeds. I've never been to a graduation before (I didn't go to my own cause of Covid) so had no idea what it would be like but it was a nice day although extremely busy and warm! On the way home we stopped off in Wakefield to go to a chip shop that my brother is a fan of and got fish & chips which went down a treat and then we set off for the two hour drive home.
Bonus picture: Spotted next doors cat just having a little people watch out the window 😂
★ I'm going to hopefully start Good Material by Dolly Alderton today. It's been on my TBR for ages and she's an author whose writing I know I love.
★ Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts by Kate Racculia is my current eBook, I started it a few days ago and now that the plot has fully kicked in, I'm really enjoying it. An eccentric millionaire dies and sends those who wish to inherit his fortune on a citywide scavenger hunt to unearth it. Hoping to read more later.
★ I finished I Will Find You on Friday and really enjoyed it! I thought it was well acted and the plot twist was good. A decent thriller series, I am more intrigued to watch more of the Harlen Coben adaptations now.
★ I then started Young Sherlock on Prime. I've only watched the first episode but I'm liking the vibes. Not sure I'm sold on the main guy as Sherlock but I'm a big fan of Donal Finn after TOBS.
We listened to my massive car playlist on our road trip to and from Leeds and it was the perfect driving vibe!
Hope you've all had a fantastic week!
