All These Lives by Sarah Wylie
Sixteen-year-old Dani is convinced she has nine lives. As a child she twice walked away from situations where she should have died. But Dani's twin, Jena, isn't so lucky. She has cancer and might not even be able to keep her one life. Dani's father is in denial. Her mother is trying to hold it together and prove everything's normal. And Jena is wasting away. To cope, Dani sets out to rid herself of all her extra lives. Maybe they'll be released into the universe and someone who wants to live more than she does will get one. Someone like Jena. But just when Dani finds herself at the breaking point, she's faced with a startling realization. Maybe she doesn't have nine lives after all. Maybe she really only ever had one.
I'm a little picky with books about grief but I like the sound of the sisterly relationship and the MC thinking she can't die.

Miracle by Elizabeth Scott

I wasn't a huge fan of The Unwritten Rule by this author and I also have a weird relationship with struggling MC meets boy who immediately understands her.

Timepiece (Hourglass #2) by Myra McEntire

I would like to read the first book but I don't need the sequel on this shelf.

I could be persuaded to read the Vampire Academy books but I'm not particularly interested in this spin off series.

This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers
It's the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won't stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn't sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she's failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she's forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group's fate is determined less and less by what's happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?
I'm not a huge fan of zombies in literature but I do own this one and I've enjoyed everything I've read from Courtney Summers so far.

Perfect Escape by Jennifer Brown
Kendra has always felt overshadowed by her older brother, Grayson, whose OCD forces him to live a life of carefully coordinated routines. The only way Kendra can stand out next to Grayson is to be perfect, and she has perfection down to an art -- until a cheating scandal threatens her flawless reputation.
Behind the wheel of her car, with Grayson asleep beside her, Kendra decides to drive away from it all -- with enough distance, maybe she'll be able to figure everything out. But eventually, Kendra must stop running and come to terms with herself, her brother, and her past.
I think this could be an interesting look at sibling relationships plus I do love road trip books but if I'm honest with myself I don't think I'm that bothered about this one.

Never Enough by Denise Jaden

I've lacked interest in contemporary lately but I could see this being a book I'd like to pick up in the future.

Survive by Alex Morel
Jane is on a plane on her way home to Montclair, New Jersey, from a mental hospital. She is about to kill herself. Just before she can swallow a lethal dose of pills, the plane hits turbulence and everything goes black. Jane wakes up amidst piles of wreckage and charred bodies on a snowy mountaintop. There is only one other survivor: a boy named Paul, who inspires Jane to want to fight for her life for the first time.
Jane and Paul scale icy slopes and huddle together for warmth at night, forging an intense emotional bond. But the wilderness is a vast and lethal force, and only one of them will survive.
I've never been drawn to survival stories before and whilst I like the premise, a few reviews mention how easily the characters manage things and that it's not particularly intense.

Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield
Becca has always longed to break free from her small, backwater hometown. But the discovery of an unidentified dead girl on the side of a dirt road sends the town--and Becca--into a tailspin. Unable to make sense of the violence of the outside world creeping into her backyard, Becca finds herself retreating inward, paralyzed from moving forward for the first time in her life.
Short chapters detailing the last days of Amelia Anne Richardson's life are intercut with Becca's own summer as the parallel stories of two young women struggling with self-identity and relationships on the edge twist the reader closer and closer to the truth about Amelia's death.
This seems to be a pretty polarising for many readers, I'm wary of some negative reviews but I like the sound of the writing and the small town setting.

The Treachery of Beautiful Things by Ruth Frances Long

Determined to find her brother, with or without Jack's help, Jenny struggles to navigate a faerie world where stunning beauty masks some of the most treacherous evils, and she's faced with a choice between salvation or sacrifice--and not just her own.
I like fairy tales but I'm not big on faerie stories, if you know what I mean...
