I do actually own this book, I think I bought way back in 2012, but I still haven't picked it up. It's on my shelf though and someday it'll hopefully be read.

Touching the Surface by Kimberly Sabatini
When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time, she knows she must have messed up, big-time. She doesn't remember how she landed in the afterlife again, but she knows this is her last chance to get things right. Elliot just wants to move on, but first she will be forced to face her past and delve into the painful memories she'd rather keep buried. Memories of people she's hurt, people she's betrayed and people she's killed.
As she pieces together the secrets and mistakes of her past, Elliot must find a way to earn the forgiveness of the person she's hurt most, and reveal the truth about herself to the two boys she loves, even if it means losing them both forever.
I don't have a great track record with paranormal romances so whilst the premise doesn't overly put me off, I have to be realistic with whether I'll ever get round to it.

Through to You by Emily Hainsworth

Nina is hiding a secret, and the window between the worlds is shrinking every day. As Cam comes to terms with the truth, he’s forced to make a choice that will change his life forever.
Another paranormal one, this time with parallel worlds. I can kinda guess the plot just from this short synopsis and it isn't interesting me very much.

The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee
When Rinn Jacobs moves to a new town she hopes it will be a fresh start-a place where nobody knows about her past. At first, everything goes according to plan. She falls in with the popular girls at her new school and falls for the very cute boy-next-door Nate. But River Hills High School has a secret. The ghost of a girl who died back when Rinn's mom was a student supposedly haunts a hallway. Rinn's not sure she believes it, but when strange things start happening to her friends, Rinn decides there's only one way to know for sure. She needs to ditch her bipolar meds and see what the voices are really trying to say...
I'm a bit on the fence about the whole 'ditching the bipolar meds' parts as not sure that's a great message but a lot of reviews have praised the creepiness plus it's for fans of Black Swan so I'll give it a shot.

Life is But a Dream by Brian James
Sabrina, an artist, is diagnosed with schizophrenia, and her parents check her into the Wellness Center. There she meets Alec, who is convinced it's the world that's crazy, not the two of them. They are meant to be together; they are special. But when Alec starts to convince Sabrina that her treatment will wipe out everything that makes her creative, she worries that she'll lose hold of her dreams and herself. Should she listen to her doctor? her decision may have fatal consequences.
Books about mental health always intrigue me but this one doesn't seem like it's got the most realistic rep plus the relationship sounds incredibly unhealthy.

Altered (Altered #1) by Jennifer Rush

Anna is torn between following Sam or staying behind in the safety of her everyday life. But her father pushes her to flee, making Sam promise to keep her away from the Branch, at all costs. There’s just one problem. Sam and the boys don’t remember anything before living in the lab—not even their true identities.
Now on the run, Anna soon discovers that she and Sam are connected in more ways than either of them expected. And if they’re both going to survive, they must piece together the clues of their past before the Branch catches up to them and steals it all away.
I'm not a huge sci-fi fan and to me this books sounds really predictable and doesn't steer away from anything else in this genre.

The only thing I've read from Huntley Fitzpatrick is her short story in Meet Cute which ended up being my least favourite in that anthology. She used to be an author I was desperate to pick up but now that I'm not reading very much contemporary I don't think I feel the hype anymore.

I was interested until I saw it was tagged vampires...

Human.4 (Point 4 #1) by Mike A. Lancaster
Kyle Straker volunteered to be hypnotized at the annual community talent show, expecting the same old lame amateur acts. But when he wakes up, his world will never be the same. Televisions and computers no longer work, but a strange language streams across their screens. Everyone’s behaving oddly. It’s as if Kyle doesn’t exist.
Is this nightmare a result of the hypnosis? Will Kyle wake up with a snap of fingers to roars of laughter? Or is this something much more sinister?
This has some decent reviews but again, I don't read sci-fi/dystopian an awful lot and when am I ever going to pick this up when there are other sci-fi that I want to get to more.

Ok, I'm a hypocrite. I nearly always remove vampire books from my TBR shelf and this should be no different but it's such a hyped/loved series that I feel like I should at least read the first book someday.
