I've never been a particularly big fan of mermaid books so I don't think this is one I'm really bothered about.

I was thinking this was gonna be sci-fi but it's obviously a dystopian. Probably one I'd only pick up if I saw it in my library.

Dying sucks

I'm super picky about paranormal books (I'm only really interested in witches and lesser know creatures) and whilst this ones quite ambigious about what makes it paranormal it still isn't grabbing me.

Leah will soon find out.
Average reviews (only 42 of them for a 2012 release!) and also the fact that it says this book is no longer being published...

The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis
Anna and Abel couldn’t be more different. They are both seventeen and in their last year of school, but while Anna lives in a nice old town house and comes from a well-to-do family, Abel, the school drug dealer, lives in a big, prisonlike tower block at the edge of town. Anna is afraid of him until she realizes that he is caring for his six-year-old sister on his own. Fascinated, Anna follows the two and listens as Abel tells little Micha the story of a tiny queen assailed by dark forces. It’s a beautiful fairy tale that Anna comes to see has a basis in reality. Abel is in real danger of losing Micha to their abusive father and to his own inability to make ends meet. Anna gradually falls in love with Abel, but when his “enemies” begin to turn up dead, she fears she has fallen for a murderer. Has she?
I think my main problem with this is that it's pitched as a dark romance but a reviewer has stated that the main relationship is incredibly unhealthy and not what should be taken as romantic.

I've said before that paranormal romances aren't really my cup of tea plus I think I'm more likely to pick up this authors adult thrillers.

I really like the sound of this, murder mystery set in venice with a secret society of women? But after scanning reviews there are just so many that have said it fails to deliver.
