I own the first book but haven't read it yet so don't see the point in keeping the sequel on this shelf.

I'm sorry, murder AND a mysterious doorway/portal?? Why haven't I read this yet?!

Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey

I like ghostly stories but something about this one isn't grabbing me unfortunately.

Wow, that cover just screams 2011 Tumblr!! If i want some disguising herself as a boy/falling for her roommate, I'll just watch She's the Man.

YA contemporary that revolves solely around boys and friendship drama just doesn't persuade me to pick up the book anymore, I need something a little bit more.

I like the sound of the whole summer bootcamp thing but it just feels like a book that's been done a hundred times already.

Jane Austen Stole My Boyfriend (Jane Austen #2) by Cora Harrison
Jane wants to meet a hero worthy of her imagination: a man who is dashing and daring and handsome and brave. Jane and Jenny are whiling away the season in Bath and there are plenty of rumours and scandals to entertain them. But a good reputation, once lost, is gone forever; and Jane is in danger of becoming the talk of the town.
Suprisingly I have read the first book in this series but it was ten years ago, I have no memory of what happened and I no longer own a copy so I think I can skip the sequel.

Another sequel to a book I haven't read, it's getting ridiculous at this point 🙈

The Summer of Firsts and Lasts by Terra Elan McVoy

Daisy has never been the sister that boys notice, but when sparks fly with Joel at the first bonfire of summer, it seems so easy and right. So why is being his girlfriend so complicated?
Seems light and summery but the reviews aren't amazing and a lot of people have said it reads quite young for YA.

Shine by Lauren Myracle

I haven't read anything from Lauren Myracle but this one has me intrigued. I like the fact that the mystery aspect isn't a typical murder but a hate crime.
