This Week's Prompt is...
Animals so I chose to highlight five books with animals on the cover that I'm excited to read in the future.
The Harpy by Megan Hunter
Lucy and Jake live in a house by a field where the sun burns like a ball of fire. This sounds so twisted and dark, the synopsis is vague enough that I have no idea how the events in the book are going to turn out.

I've talked about how much I want to read this book before but I had to mention it again! This sounds magical and wintery and that cover is gorgeous.

Lana longs to represent her native Puerto Rico in their first ever World Cup appearance, and when Puerto Rico’s Runner—the only player without a dragon steed—is kicked off the team, she’s given the chance.
But when she discovers that a former Blazewrath superstar has teamed up with the Sire—a legendary dragon who’s cursed into human form—the safety of the Cup is jeopardized. This just sounds like a lot of fun and I love the sound of a dragon racing tournament. I'm hoping there'll be plenty of action in this one.
Among the Beasts & Briars by Ashley Poston

This is the book that's included in the November Owlcrate box (which should've arrived by the time I post this!) and I knew immediately that I wanted it. Aside from that incredible cover, the synopsis sounds like everything I want out of a fantasy.

This book has been talked about a lot. Normally, it might not be my thing but the fact that she has to solve murders has me intrigued.
